FLOR DE LYS (II)

Como ya os he contado en el anterior post, FLOR DE LYS  es el título de la nueva colección de JESÚS VERA, que tendrá su presentación el próximo día 28 de octubre en la Sala Freedom de Madrid. El diseñador veratense ha tenido la deferencia de elegirme como fuente de inspiración de su nueva colección de otoño e invierno, lo que me hace no sólo enormemente feliz, sino que constituye un verdadero honor para mí. Por eso espero veros ese día a todos los que os acerquéis, para disfrutar de una bonita noche de moda donde habrá sorpresas en la colección, con tocados y accesorios que me gustan mucho, grandes actuaciones de artistas invitados y donde asistiré con un precioso diseño de TERIA YABAR…

As I have already told you in the previous post, FLOR DE LYS is the title of the new collection of JESUS VERA, which will be presented on October 28th in the Freedom Room of Madrid. The designer Veratense has had the deference of choosing me as a source of inspiration from his new collection of autumn and winter, which makes me not only enormously happy, but constitutes a true honor for me. La Flor de Lys tiene para mí un significado muy especial, por eso en este segundo post quiero contaros más cosas de esta flor sagrada. Es la representación simbólica de la flor del lirio, lis, iris o lotus, una flor muy apreciada desde Egipto y Grecia, y utilizada como atributo simbólico por el cristianismo, de la gloria, el esplendor, la inocencia, la pureza, la alegría y la fuerza de la vida. La traducción al español de “fleur de lis” (escrita también como “fleur de lys”) es “flor del lirio”. Constituye un símbolo con muchos significados y aunque tradicionalmente ha sido usado para representar a la realeza francesa, su sentido es la perfección, la luz y la vida… La Flor de Lys, en sus múltiples representaciones, es un dibujo esquematizado de la flor del lirio, una estilización de dicha flor realizada con 7 elementos, 6 hojas de lirio, 3 superiores, 3 inferiores y una especie de cinturón o abrazadera central que las convierte en un manojo. que integra un esquema numérico 3+1+3…

The Fleur de Lys has for me a very special meaning, so in this second post I want to tell you more things about this sacred flower. The flower of Lys is the symbolic representation of the flower of the lily, lis, iris or lotus, a flower very appreciated from Egypt and Greece, and used as a symbolic attribute by Christianity, of glory, splendor, innocence, purity , the joy and the strength of life. The Spanish translation of “fleur de lis” (also written as “fleur de lys”) is “lily flower”. It is a symbol with many meanings and although traditionally it has been used to represent the French royalty, its meaning is the perfection, the light and the life … The Flower of Lys, in its multiple representations, is a schematic drawing of the flower of the lily, a stylization of this flower made with 7 elements, 6 leaves of lily, 3 upper, 3 lower and a kind of belt or central clamp that turns them into a bunch. which integrates a 3 + 1 + 3 numerical scheme …

La Flor de lys ha significado siempre, en diversas culturas, cualidades nobles o divinas: el honor, la realeza, la pureza, la generosidad, la perfección, la luz de la vida y la Santísima Trinidad. La flor o llama de la luz y de la vida, la reina del cielo y la triple majestad de Dios. Para muchos autores es el equivalente en occidente de la Flor de loto. Dicen que tiene códigos secretos de sabiduría que se abren como una flor al atardecer, porque en su misterio están los elixires de la vida eterna y los manuscritos de otra época, otra era, otra edad que no tiene misterios para el hombre que acepta su gracia y su honor: Curación, esperanza, gloria, esplendor, alegría, inocencia, amor, unidad, justicia, renovación, perfección, sabiduría, promesa,  fe, caridad, alianza, lealtad, fortaleza…… árbol de la vida, la resurrección, la gracia del Dios que ilumina y el conocimiento que viene del cielo. Puede ser de diferentes colores: blanca, roja, azul, celeste o dorada y la Flor de lys roja dicen que brota cada  1000 años, en los fines y comienzos de milenio, los últimos 10 años y los 10 siguientes…

El nombre, lis, en latín, lilium significa en lirio: “obstáculo para impedir el paso del enemigo”  y en arábico “as-susa-na”, Azucena. En Egipto, el lis simbolizó la resurrección y la vida, además de ser el atributo del dios Horus (mito de trinidad de Isis-Osiris-Horus). Símbolo real desde la antigüedad, es decir, símbolo del hombre que está en contacto con Dios y es su “elegido”, en la Biblia se señala que el lis formaba parte como adorno de los capiteles de distintas columnas del palacio de Salomón y para los templarios el lirio rojo significaba realeza, protección, linaje, pureza de sangre y de corazón. En América, la Flor de Lis fue sagrada, para los Olmecas, Toltecas, Aztecas y Mayas, con un significado de flor del atardecer, estrella vespertina o lucero del alba…

En Occidente, en el siglo XII, los franceses incluyen la Flor de lys en su heráldica para representar visualmente un Sentido de Pertenencia y Hermandad entre los caballeros de la época, y de esta forma facilitar su reconocimiento en tierras lejanas por lo que con el tiempo, fue incorporada en los respectivos emblemas de la realeza europea, así la casa real inglesa y la casa real española llevan flores de lis en sus estandartes y los reyes de la Corona de Aragón enterrados en Poblet, lucen la Flor de lys en la parte superior de su cetro. A partir del Renacimiento, los alquimistas adoptaron la Flor de lys como símbolo de su bien hacer y se unía a los blasones cuando tenían éxito con alguna de sus teorías o se lograba alcanzar gran iluminación (la piedra filosofal). Para ellos, la Flor de lys simbolizaba la luz, la resurrección y la gracia del Dios que ilumina… Unida en particular al rey Luis VII, anteriormente,  el uso de un símbolo similar se dio en la decoración de la Puerta de Istar en Mesopotamia (antigua Babilonia), en el año 575 a. de C. Emblema de iluminación y atributo del Señor, escudo de los reyes de Francia desde 1179, de Luis XI  llegó al escudo de los Médici y de allí a los de Florencia y Toscana…

La Iglesia católica romana usa la Flor de lys como símbolo mariano, sinónimo de blancura, o sea de pureza e inocencia, es uno de los atributos de San José, en cuyo bastón, según dice la leyenda, habría florecido. Relacionada con la pureza, la inocencia, la virginidad y la Trinidad, los tres pétalos de la flor eran interpretados como una representación de la Santísima Trinidad y un símbolo que se atribuye tanto al Arcángel Gabriel como a la Virgen María, ya que Jesús hace referencia al “campo de lirios”, en el Sermón de la Montaña, como la “confianza en Dios, que nunca hace preguntas”. También se la presenta como flor de atributo de muchos ángeles y santos y en un nivel más esotérico el lirio representa la Casa de Judá, a Jesucristo y por eso, el lirio y el Cristo (Sagrado Corazón de Jesús) están integrados…

Además de un símbolo de poder, soberanía, honor y lealtad que también se utiliza en el Movimiento Scout, en la masonería y en la alquimia y el emblema de la ciudad de Florencia, capital del arte y la belleza, es utilizada también en los mapas antiguos para señalar el norte en las “rosas de los vientos“, como símbolo de ese punto cardinal en las cartas navales y mapas de la Edad Media…

Unas veces se representa con tres pétalos y otras con cinco, por eso se la equipara con la flor de loto, tan común en todas las representaciones egipcias, mesopotámicas, chinas o indias. Lo que el mundo oriental ha decorado con flores de loto, el mundo occidental lo ha hecho con flores de lis y algunos afirman que la Flor de lys tuvo su origen en la flor de loto de Egipto. En Oriente, la  Flor de loto significa pureza espiritual porque el loto (padma), también conocido como loto sagrado, loto indio o rosa del Nilo, es una planta acuática que florece en el agua…

Además de este paralelismo con la flor del loto, el principal significado de la Flor de Lys es que es un emblema de “Sacralidad” antiguo, que solo los iniciados conocen para ingresar a otro estado de conciencia. Como veis quizá la Flor de Lys sea un símbolo de los nuevos tiempos, de la nueva era, de lo que está naciendo y empezando a concretarse en nuestro querido planeta… Las nuevas ideas que estamos creando con nuevas palabras que incluyen conocimientos ocultos y manifiestos de la humanidad, y del Universo. En realidad ya fueron creadas en algún espacio-tiempo, en otras dimensiones, en el maravilloso espacio interno del amor incondicional de los seres de corazón puro. Puede ser que la Flor de Lys sea portadora de un mensaje: la promesa de que algo va a cambiar en la humanidad y que represente la nueva alianza entre el cielo y la tierra del hombre…un vehículo de Luz…

As you see, perhaps the Flower of Lys is a symbol of the new times, of the new era, of what is being born and beginning to take shape on our beloved planet …The new ideas that we are creating with new words that include hidden knowledge and manifestoes of humanity, and of the Universe.
