Situada a pocos kilómetros de Sigüenza, Atienza sorprende por su rico patrimonio, buena parte del cual puede verse en sus tres museos y en sus calles, que aún rememoran su pasado medieval, por lo que el paseo por su casco urbano merece una parada y supone una verdadera sorpresa si no se conoce. También es bonito adentrarse por sus callejas que dirigen hacia la muralla y pasar debajo del llamado arco de “Arrebatacapas”, por el aire que corre debajo del mismo y  que conduce desde la Plaza de Ayuntamiento a la Plaza del Trigo. Bajo la silueta de su castillo, siempre dominante, el tiempo parece haberse detenido en las empinadas calles, en sus iglesias de origen románico, o en las plazas soportaladas, tí­picamente castellanas… 

Located a few kilometers from Sigüenza, Atienza surprises with its rich heritage, much of which can be seen in its three museums and its streets, which still recall much of its medieval past. The walk through its urban center deserves a stop and is a real surprise if you do not know. It is worth walking through its streets that lead to the wall and pass under the so-called arch of “Arrebatacapas”, by the air that runs under it and that leads from the Town Hall Square to the Plaza del Trigo.
