MEXICO LINDO (I)

Hola queridisim@s!!!!!! Por fin estoy de vuelta de mi último viaje del verano al querido México lindo, aunque ha sido la tercera vez en mi vida que he visitado la Rivera Maya, en la península del Yucatán. Un viaje lleno de recuerdos que he vuelto a rememorar en este año tan especial para mí, no sólo volviendo a Cancún y a los lugares donde estuve la primera vez, sino también recordando un segundo viaje que fue a Playa del Carmen. Esta vez el lugar elegido ha sido el hotel Ocean Coral&Turquesa, un resort situado cerca de Puerto Morelos, en medio de esos dos puntos cardinales, un pueblo con aire bohemio y hippie, que recuerda la playa caribeña de los primeros tiempos, antes de que el boom turístico llegara a sus costas. Sin embargo, la experiencia de cada viaje es única, no sólo porque aunque todo siga igual, todo está cambiado, sino porque nosotros también, aún siendo “los de entonces” somos, del mismo modo, distintos….

Hi queridisim @s !!!!!! I’m finally back from my last summer trip to the beloved Mexico lindo, but it has been the third time in my life that I have visited the Riviera Maya in the Yucatan peninsula. A journey full of memories that I have remembered again in this year so special for me, not only going to Cancun and the places where I was the first time, but also remembering the second trip that went to Playa del Carmen. This time the chosen place has been the Ocean Coral & Turquesa Hotel, a resort located near Puerto Morelos, in the middle of those two cardinal points, a town with bohemian and hippie air, reminiscent of the Caribbean beach of the first times, before the tourist boom will reach its shores. However, the experience of each journey is unique, not only because although everything remains the same, everything is changed, but because we also “still them then we are”, in the same way, different…….

Estos próximos días os mostraré momentos de este viaje precioso aunque iré también alternando los eventos y propuestas de moda que ya han comenzando para el cercano otoño, que ya me están esperando y que reclaman de forma urgente su sitio, pero hoy quiero comenzar este regreso con dos looks típicamente mexicanos. El primero es este precioso vestido femenino de Yucatán, que recibe el nombre de terno por las tres piezas que lo componen: fustán, huipil y jubón. El fustán (llamado pic en maya) es la parte inferior y consiste en una especie de falda ajustada a la cintura que llega hasta los pies. El jubón es el cuello cuadrado que se coloca sobre el huipil, que es el vestido blanco en sí…

The fustán (called pic in maya) is the bottom and consists of a kind of skirt adjusted to the waist that arrives until the feet. The doublet is the square neck that is placed on the huipil, which is the white dress itself…

Este vestido se complementa además, con una especie de chal que se denomina rebozo de Santa María y un rosario de filigrana, hecho a artesanalmente por los orfebres yuctaecos. Un traje tradicional que sin embargo, este año, con la vuelta de las flores puede convertirse en una pieza original de rabiosa actualidad, si tenemos la osadía de quitarle el fustán y sofisticarla con stilettos altos. En mi caso le he dado además un aire más casual con unos preciosos zuecos de KISS LEISS  porque he preferido dejar las sandalias altas para el siguiente look….

This dress is complemented by a kind of shawl called Santa Maria rebozo and a filigree rosary, handmade by the Yucatecan goldsmiths. A traditional suit that, however, this year, with the return of the flowers can become an original piece of rabid current, if we have the audacity to remove the fustán and sophisticate it with high stilettos. In my case I have also given a more casual air with beautiful KISS LEISS clogs since I preferred to leave the sandals high for the next look ….

Esa otra mirada distinta es un outfit de aire rockero y moderno con una marca innovadora que arrasa en México y que a mí me tiene enamorada… en él destaca la preciosa camiseta de !AY GÜEY!, una firma que ha sido creada allí, y que tiene, entre algunos de sus iconos, a la catrina, esa calavera mexicana que critica la excesiva importancia que a veces damos al aparentar lo que no se es y a lo exclusivamente material….

That other different look is an outfit of rocker and modern air with an innovative brand that devastates in Mexico and that has me in love … in him it emphasizes the beautiful T-shirt of! AY GÜEY!, a signature that has been created there , and that has, among some of its icons, catrina, that Mexican skull that criticizes the excessive importance we sometimes give to the appearance of what is not already the exclusively material ….
